LIST 90 - 31/08/12
Hello again dear hearts,
Ooops. Can't say that that break of about a month was exactly planned! I have the temerity to go on holiday for the first time in nigh on five years, only to come back to nothing computer-wise actually still working. All back on an even keel now, though.
This list appears shorter than usual but is assuredly still the usual 70-odd minutes in length - a 32-minute epic from the brand new Swans album takes care of the second half of the running time this time, and (unsurprisingly) at once becomes the longest track ever included on this fair site.
Elsewhere, the return to active service of the likes of Grizzly Bear, Tender Trap, Bart & Friends and - after over a decade away - Fuxa offers plenty to cheer. For added 1990s shoegazeytronica bonus points, the last-named features Sarah Peacock from Seefeel doing a splendid line in deadpan vocals. Win.
It's likely there'll be an NME-related theme to next week's List, but don't run away. Please don't.
