LIST 108 - 05/12/13

Hello again,

Two tracks from the Pet Shop Boys form the centrepiece of this list - and both largely instrumental.  "Axis", along with Haiku Salut's "Watanabe" and the Boards Of Canada track added on Tuesday, comprise my three favourite tracks of 2013 so far - and there's barely a lyric between them!

Don't worry, writers of words, I love thee still.  There's plenty of evidence to that effect elsewhere here.  The deadpan lyrics of the Euros Childs track included here would be foremost among those - and the video provides surely the slapstick highlight of the year.

Who's Got The Crack hasn't been included in a List up to now, but absolutely had to at some point, having enjoyed something of a revival at the Indiepop Singalongs I've been attending in Sheffield over the past few months, on and off.  It was met with barely contained glee and enthusiasm in the equivalent Singalongs - one planned, one impromptu - at this year's Indietracks festival, too.  Simple, daft, naughty and fun!
